The news spread like wildfire when the story of Bethany Storro in Vancouver, Washington, came out about how she was disfigured by an attack. She had acid thrown on her face. It was a complete stranger that did it. The old saw of a young woman disfigured by acid seemed to have come true, and individuals really believed it. August 30 to September 5 was how long Bethany Storro was in the hospital. CNN tells us this. She said she got acid thrown in her face after a young African-American woman asked her if she wanted anything to drink.
Hoax coming from acid attack
It was the perfect tale. It also was a cliché being used. It also turned out to be false. Time reports that police began investigating things as she was getting close to being released. They decided things weren’t adding up. It seemed like the acid burns were just applied carefully instead of just thrown on Bethany Storro. According to Sky News, the acid used was of comparable corrosive quality to sulfuric or hydrochloric acid. Confronted with the inconsistencies in her acid attack story, she admitted to the acid attack hoax. She was just pulling off a stunt like the balloon boy or a meat dress.
Paying for the problem
Scars will stay on Bethany Storro till she dies. Also, she submitted a false police report. This means she will likely get charges for that as well. She got lots of donations to pay for the hospital bills. She is going to have to pay those back also as paying all the bills by her.
